CGC Ingham
The CGC Ingham was my first cutter. Right out of the CG Academy as a boot ensign 1966
to 1967. While I was onboard we did Ocean Station patrols and a cadet cruise.
The Ingham served from 1936 to 1988. Upon retirement she became a museum in South Carolina and was then moved to Key West, FL in 2009.

CGC Cape Darby
The CGC Cape Darby was my second cutter. 1967 to 1968. Operated out of Key West, FL. I was commanding officer.
Had a crew of about 15. Did search and rescue operations for boats in trouble and also rescued
Cubans that were escaping Cuba. Also provided support for the CG personnel at Light Station
Dry Tortugas and for the Park Service personnel at Fort Jefferson.

CGC Point Banks
My third cutter was the CGC Point Banks. Vietnam 1968 to 1969. I was CO on this boat also.
Squadron 1, Division 13 out of Cat Lo. We had two main missions - patrolling along the coast so arms and supplies weren't
smuggled to the VC and incursion operations up rivers and canals.
