Yields about 4 servings.

3 lbs. fresh asparagus, trimmed
3 tbs. extra-virgin olive oil
a handful of fresh thyme coarsely chopped or 1 tbs. dried thyme
salt and pepper
Heat oven to 425.
Place asparagus in a glass baking pan.
Drizzle in the olive oil and toss to coat.
Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle on the thyme.
Bake, uncovered, for about 30 minutes, until crisp but tender.
