Yields about 6 to 8 servings.
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
2 cups fresh cauliflower florets
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked, cooled and crumbled
1/4 red onion, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tbs. sugar or 2 tbs. and 1/4 cup honey
2 tbs. cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cook and prepare the bacon. Set aside.
Cut the broccoli and cauliflower to get the flowerets.
Rinse broccoli and cauliflower in a colander.
Put the broccoli, cauliflower and onion in a large bowl.
Mix the mayonnaise, sugar (honey), vinegar and salt in a bowl.
Pour over the broccoli and cauliflower. Mix well.
Cover and put in the refrigerator until serving, at least an hour.
When serving mix in the cheese and bacon.
